Garden

My garden has been growing outrageously. The tomato plant has over 50 tomatoes on it. I had to cut off a bunch of foilage because it was still getting wilted even though I watered it twice a day. My pepper plants have a bunch of peppers on it. The red caladiums in the picture below finally decided to come up at the end of July. Now the leaves are about 15 inches long!

Evan's Birthday

For Evan's birthday last Saturday we did several things:

I took him to breakfast at Dennys. He wasn't supposed to peek though the blindfold to see where we were going, but he did.

We went to a professional bike race at Snowbird. It was a 100 mile race and the last 15 miles were straight uphill. We watched the very end of the race and we got to stand next to the parents of one of the top four guys. (Meaning the 4th guy.) It was pretty cool. We got a free cowbell from Toyota tundra and Evan toalked to the founder of a bike company about working with composits on bikes.

We went to eat at Tucanos. It was delicious.
We went on a scavenger hunt to find one of Evan's presents.
We had cake and icecream. I accidentally put the 2 backwards on the cake.

Old Lady

For my birthday I asked Evan for three things: The Western Garden Book, an electric toothbrush, and some new shirts. I got the toothbrush and some new shirts. When I opened up the shirts, one of them had stars all over it. I tried it on and realized that they were arranged in a skull and crossbones image: though not noticeable from close up, it was noticeable from far away. Not really something I wanted to wear.

On Friday night we went to take the shirts back and get some new ones. I haven't bought new clothes in forever because I mostly wear free t-shirts to work and I don't need a lot of other clothes. However, I think it has been a little too long. As we walked around the mall, we realized that I was wearing the exact same thing as 3 other women, all of whom were probably over the age of 35. Apparently I dress like an old lady. Evan and I are working on getting some new clothes for me.

Time for a new post?

Here's some things that have happened since the last post:

-Evan and I both had birthdays.
-Evan's parents came to visit.
-We watched the Olympics.
-My plants are growing outrageously.

I have some pictures and stuff that I might post later.

We will be at Disneyland a week from today! Woohoo! Our one year anniversary is a week from yesterday.

Ratatouille

We went to the farmer's market in Salt Lake on Saturday to pick up some fresh veggies. I wanted to try an eggplant because I have never had one before. I've also been wanting to make ratatouille ever since I saw the movie, so this was the perfect opportunity. Let's just say that the eggplant was a waste of a dollar and ratatouille needs some meat in it or something. But the squash was really good!
