Easter eggs

On Saturday afternoon we filled some easter eggs with a few mini m&ms and let Calvin search for them. He got the hang of it pretty quick and managed to drool a lot of chocolate onto the rug.

Why do my parents torture me?

Dear everyone,

This is Calvin writing. I just want to show you all proof of how my parents torture me.

Exhibit A: My mom put a diaper on tiger. Hello!! Tiger doesn't need a diaper! Then she thought it would be funny to take pictures of both of us in our diapers. How embarassing!
I want nothing to do with it.

Exhibit B: One day while my mom was gone, my dad kept putting me in this giant bowl. Just because I'm small doesn't mean I want to lay down in the popcorn bowl!

I mean, seriously dad, why do you do this to me?

And there you have it. I have the weirdest parents in the world. Help!!!!!!!

The sticks and the twig

The other day Calvin was playing on the playground. There were two other kids out there, one about a year older than him, the other only six months older. The other two were having a lot of fun chasing each other around and playing together while Calvin played by himself in the sandbox. I think he realized how much fun they were having and wanted to join them, so when they both got some big sticks and started banging on a pot (nearly hitting each other in the face every time they hit the pot), Calvin decided to join them. The only problem was, when he went over to join them, he brought a twig. Haha.

I'm not sure I've told this story properly for you all to realize how funny it was, but just trust me, It was quite hilarious.

Calvin folds his arms when we pray now. It is pretty cute. He usually doesn't keep them folded the whole time, but he sometimes folds them at the end of the prayer too so if I hadn't been opening my eyes, I would have thought he was folding them the whole time. Tricky little guy. He also usually says "amen," although it always comes out as "ma-ma," "buh-buh," "da-da," or some other word that isn't "amen."

My Wrist

A few weeks ago I opened a jar of peppers. It took about 5 minutes and included much yelling, twisting, and sweating. It was a very difficult jar to open. Ever since then my wrist has been injured. Pathetic, I know. It was even getting better until I used it too much yesterday. Whoops.

New shirts for Calvin

I got two orange shirts for Calvin at Walmart a while ago for a dollar each and I knew I had to do something interesting with them. So here's how they ended up. As per Evan's request, this one got a freezer paper stencil sewn on so that Calvin can start the mandatory process of becoming a Phoenix Suns fan. With the other shirt, I made a jacket based on this tutorial. She even used the same t-shirt as I did! But I got mine for cheaper. Instead of using a zipper, I used snaps because I couldn't find a zipper the right size and color. Plus, the zipper would have cost me three times as much as the shirt.
I thought the wording was perfect for Calvin since he is such a busy body these days. All the brown fabric is from an old BYU Outdoor Adventure club t-shirt that I got when I was involved in the club as a freshman and sophomore.
I thought this word was especially appropriate since Calvin spends half his day climbing on chairs.
